Strawberry Sauce

 

As most of you know strawberries are one of my favorite fruits. I use them on everything in the summer from ice cream to cheese pie to pancakes. I love them! So I thought I might share my super simple strawberry sauce recipe!

 

What you need:

 

1 container of strawberries

3/4 cup sugar or sweetener of your choice

2 tablespoons of corn starch

 

First off you need to wash and cut up all the strawberries into small bite size piece. Then add to a sauce pan the strawberries, sweetener, and corn starch. On a medium low heat continuously stir ingredients until sauce thickens and the smell of cornstarch is gone! You can eat this warm or cool. Make sure to refrigerate it is good for about a week!

 There are so many things you can use this sauce on. I hope your family enjoys it as much as mine does.

I have wonderful memories of my mom measuring me as a child on the door frame in the basement of my childhood home! They sold that home a few years ago and gone are all those measurements from my childhood but the memories remain! When my daughter was little we moved around a lot so I kept her measurement in her baby book. Now that we own our home and plan to stay put for awhile I went looking for a way to record my little guys growth and I found A Big Kid Now!

I guess you could say that my home has a country primitive theme! I am not a huge fan of things on my furniture because I have to pick those things up and dust them but I do love things that hang on the wall! I have looked and looked for a Family Rules sign that I

 thought went with the theme and colors of my home. To my

dismay most of them are black and cream and that is just not what I wanted.

I almost had to beat my grandmother off of this sign when she visited! I thought for sure it might hop off the wall and into her bag never to be seen again :)! When Christine suggested the multi color sign was I a little hesitant but man I am glad I went with her suggestion. I can not imagine any other generic sign looking so wonderful in my entry to my kitchen. I have had so many compliments on this sign and I must say it is my new favorite decoration!

I have always had a fascination with handmade wooden toys! I love toys that look like they can stand the test of time, the hardy playing of tough love and dirty little hands. Ozark Rustic Wood Toys are beautiful, sturdy and adorable! I am ashamed to admit I almost set the train I got to review up on the shelf and didn't let my son play with it was so perfect. It matches his bedroom and would have looked wonderful as a decoration. I was so torn! I did finally let him play with his train and I have to admit he LOVES it and so does this picky Momma! 

 

I love the fact that the blocks on this train are removable and you can arrange them by color, alphabetical order or just make silly words like my daughter does every chance she gets! My son loves to look into the caboose and check out the little people! This train will be one that my son can pass down to his kids one day! I just love it when he gets down and drives this all over the house. This toy is a keeper for sure!
